This angle is superb...gives a sense of depth and perspective but doesn't detract from the subjects due to the shallow depth of field. Love it!

I LOVE the starkness here, totally fits the minimalistic approach with props and the baby's less than happy demeanor!! The Mom may love or hate this, but I think it's a work of art worthy of any portfolio!! What is your website?

Thanks, I had the client move ALL of their living room furniture into the dining room :P and we rolled up the carpet leaving just this ottoman against the wall. I used my AB400 at about 1/4 power with natural light from the subjects right (your left) coming in. I typically shoot outside 90% of the time and am not comfortable bumping up my ISO compromising noise.

I absolutely love this shot and I would definitely show the client. Though it may fall from your typical style, it is not going to hurt to include it with your proofs (that's why we give the client a variety to choose from, right? ;-)). As a mom (though admittedly as a photographer too) I would have this one huge in my dining room. Some clients will totally "get" and love the more artistic shots, and some naturally won't, but I would not hesitate to include it.
