Kevin,
Awesome thunder head my friend. I think the capture doesn't need leveled, because you used a fish eye filter, or lens which distorts the horizonal plain...
Well done indeed,
Marty

Thanks Timothy for your comments. I agree that I should have cropped and straightened. I think I got in too big of a hurry. I am not sure what you mean by duo or trio tone. I am using just a basic Nikon Picture software.

Kevin, a couple of things. The car in the LH corner could be cropped out, the horizon straightened. Possibly make this snapshot something alot stonger, ps would be interesing in duo or tri tone. keep up the good work

Kevin,
Wonderful panning, cropping, colours, DOF, and focus. Not to mention your choice regarding the shutter speed is 2nd to none...
My hat is off to you my friend,

Jonathan, Thanks for your comment. You are correct this is the G series nikkor lens. I am pleased with the performance so far. I am not sure of the mm conversion of the lens. This photo was taken at a focal length of 170mm in manual mode. I also cropped the picture as well. I have found that for me the best images I have captured have been using focal lengths from 70-190 mm.

Thanks for the comment and nice work to you as well. I see you're using the 70-300mm. Is that the G series lens? I was just looking at getting one of those. I've heard they're great for the price. At the long end, it's the equivalent of a 450mm lens in 35mm correct?
