The light and shade is awesome but have you really overlooked the temples and the two moving figure? I personally feel that the man on the boat is drawing too much attention. I think that the serene background with an ancient smell should have been your subject.
I have taken a bit liberty and trying to show what I exactly mean. Just consider this.. and imagine ..the left side [ that I have cropped ] in a wide angle view.
My intention here is not to judge you .. rather I expressed my view with the help of your image. Hope you won't mind..

But it is not 5 rath temple i think
it is one of the Pagodas, 7th in fact, the others having gone under sea.
5 rath temple is in the same place but situated a bit interior towards the town

Perfect composition (7/7+++). I liked the division of the frame in two triangles. The first is dark and detaches the Goddesses in strong colors. The second shines like the sun with color and texture, giving depth for the picture. Finally, the human in back lighting give the mystery to the scene. Congratulations.

Excellent catch. What a sky!
please don't mind I'm adding one suggestion to each of my comments. More contrast and the shadows would have been darker. that would give a more dramatic effect. there's no rule in art. But that's what I feel.

vibrant smile. But you know what....things look at their best when the shot is taken from their level. The same shot taken from the child's eye level would have been great.
