Pat, your latest landscapes is just a glorious kaleidoscope of colors and moods. Now when it's late autumn and all trees and meadows get disgraced from their earlier beauty the landscapes get more moody and sad but the nice thing still is that mountines hold well and look the same majestic. The mountains that are already capped with snow only tell that it's a transition only and soon things will settle down with a great full snow filled beautiful winter paysages. Great job Pat to show us all that. Cheers, n.j

Pat, great shot, very dynamic feel of movement and very neat composition. It's funny talking about composition for this kind of shots, it's only as good as experienced you are and as dynamic as your reflex is - good set of skils for hunters and photographers. Cheers,
n.j

Hi Pat,
All 3 of today's postings are fabulous! Your colors are right on. This one especially caught my eye because of the name. We have the north fork of the Nooksack River about 7 miles from where I live. Very good job.

They may do this often but it still looks like a dangerous endeavor to me. Perfect shot though. Beautiful lighting, nice detail in the shadows, and the best possible instant.

Pat, seems like even tough winter could be a fun in Rockies. I love mountains and we have spend a lot of good time in Tatras when back in Poland. I have been to Canadian Rockies and many places in SW part of the formation. I definitelly have YNP on my list to go, but who knows when? Anyway I'm a bit jealous of all the great nature exposure you have on your daily base and all those great views to complement. Please enjoy your time and show us the beauty that surrounds you. Cheers, n.j

Andrzej, yes this was taken from my front porch! We are surrounded by mountains on every side. We live very close to Yellowstone National Park. It is beautiful for wildlife and panoramic views. It can get rough in the winter sometimes, like last winter there was a week we couldn't get off the mountain, but I thought it was fun, because we were prepared for it. The only thing I think we weren't prepared for was the wind gust of up to 80 miles per hour..... Thanks for your very kind comments! Pat

She's a lovely looking little girl Pat, and you've caught a real cute expression on her face. Grandchildren are great are they not? Up until a certain age they are so very tolerant of we grandparents. My eldest is 17 and not quite so thoughtful of his 'Pops' as he used to be.

Lovely composition Pat with a nice background to match the mood of the shot...Well taken.. Best wishes to you....Ray

Aah Pat, this is a ray of sunshine and thank-you for it. I was a bit down yesterday but as the day progressed I felt fine. Bless you for thinking of me.

I love this shot, the colours and focus are soft and gentle and in keeping with the delicate looking nature of the flowers.. Thank-you once again sweetie and my very best wishes to you..Ray
