Beautiful image of an aloe inflorescence Mireille. Very difficult to ID it from the flower alone since many of the flowers are very similar in appearance. One woald also need a description of the growth habit and the leaves. In addition, the aloes are kown for the many hybrids (man-made and natural) that may occur which often add a bit to the confusion with this plant family. Regards.

Hi Stef,
And yes I had some crayfish...delicious! The guide told me I couldn't leave this lovely town without tasting it and he was absolutely right.
Thanks for additional information!
Regards,
Mireille

Hi Mireille,

Alovely shot here, well composed with lovely, gradually changing colours. Also the slow shutterspeed whic gives a soft feel to the waves and sea.

Also a very interesting town to visit. Hope you had some crayfish. A renowned South African writer, the late Pieter Pieterse, used to refer to it as Smokkelnoster (smokkel = smuggle), reffering to the illegal crayfish smuggling that used to take place in this quiet little town.

Cheers,
Stef

What soft light and delicate colours Mireille. And your usual diagonal line that creates depth.
A sweet, gentle landscape.
Take care, Mireille.

Crazy indeed!

I like the colors which looks unatural ... at least for a winter.

I cant be honest Mireille, I like too much horses. Anyway I think is a good "portrait" that capture very well its feelings. Don't go too near, it is in alert.
It seems to me a young arab horse with a beautiful "face" and an unusual coat. Is it?
Good night Mireille.

Hi. With a little bit more contrast and/or saturation the head will come more apart from the body. I think that will improve the picure.

Hi Mireille! Neat perspective shot here. If it was a little warmer here, I could almost imagine lying down and looking up at the sky through the tree! Nice to see you again. Happy new year! Cheers, Gary
