I am sorry for your loss Susan. I lost my beautiful mother to Multiple Myeloma last year. I felt so small when she left us. I feel your pain- keep her close and alive by remembering her. Take a care of yourself.
All the best,
Mitra

I love that you all responded to my picture like that. Now i want to do these types of pictures more. I love getting a response from a picture, good or bad. but to get people to look and think about a picture i took. really makes me happy.

It is not always as it seems. No, the lady left does not sit on a baby, i find her even very cute and very attractive. She is confident , see the way she is well dressed. The lady right is much more casual using worn out jeans and havin sloppy hair. So I can only see them as friends. Nice puzzling shot.

Yes, there's a naturalness to this shot that allows us to make our own story and I much prefer this sort of portrait to the studio style shot. I find the woman on the left sitting on the doll a bit bizarre.
Regards, Gary

Nice emotional capture. I guess that the black lady with her eyes down just spoke about her mistake, failure or worries to the white lady expressing confidence and some glimpse of being amazed (by the photographer). It's just a guess. I admire this kind of photos to challenge observer's imagination.

There's a lot of rhythm in this photo - but not so much it feels contrived. Just enough to create an interesting tension.

The lighting was so crazy that day with the smoke from the Santa Barbara fire blocking out the afternoon sun. I love how you got his chin poking out of the water.
