Ciao Giuseppe,
Thanks for your comment. I always try to use light and shadows to show depth and and texture in the flowers. I guess if you see this there is some success!
Mille grazie,
Greg

Hi Giuseppe,
Sory to take so long to get back to you. Been very busy. We've started milking 8 goats for awhile - anyway, yes, Ihave an off camera flash and while the shutter is open 5 sec. I flash 2 - 3 times in different places to acheive different effects. Usually, out of 20 or more shots, a couple turn out ok.
Take care,
greg

Gerry,
Thanks. Actually, no filters were used. These are the true colors of this bloom. Thanks for asking.

Hi Giuseppe,
Do you mean like the other one with the whole bloom? I like them both, in different ways. This is a very intriguing and complex bloom, although, for me, it is actually not as bella as some others. This why I posted both views since each reveals different aspects of the flower. I have onemore I might do later. Mille grazie, come sempre, for your input.
Ciao,
Greg

Thanks, Paul. Actually, this is a daffodil. A very complex one, to be sure.
Cheers,

Meg
Thanks. This is actually not a crop but as I took it.
I wanted to more concentrate on the center. I do have others of the whole bloom and I'll post them the next few days. Thanks again. Stay tuned.,
Cheers,
Greg

Hi John,
I like the xti. There is a difference between the 6mp rebel and the 10mp xti, but not huge. It's smaller, which I actually like. Other than that, works great and can't really complain. Thanks for commenting.

The lighter one is equally beautiful. I've tried to work on the original, but the light just comes from thr wrong angle to truly illuminate that exquisite center. Obviously your vision has touched many the way you intended and thus you have succeeded. What I mentioned would not necessarily be any better, just a different point of view. Thanks for your interest and enjoy the flowers as they appear. The attachment is not really any better than your original, but thought you might like to see it anyway, just for fun.

Hi Giuseppe
Congratulations on critique of the day and for having some pis posted on the opening page! Our first crocuses have made it up-will post some soon. What a lovely flower this is - one we don't have here. Personally I would have put a little more light on the center to bring out the intricacy hidden there in, but that's just me.

Greg

Hi
Thanks! I like shadows and trees, but they don't seem to have as wide an appeal as colorful flowers! The sparkling is real - it was quite cold ( around 10 degrees F) and the sun brilliant making the snow glitter like fields of diamonds.
Ciao,
greg

Buona sera, Giuseppe,
Ahh, you have good eyes - or good glasses ! (scherzo)
That is an aphid. We also have a few ladybugs in the greenhouse, so, hopefully, both are happy!
Thanks. Glad you liked it.

Hi again,
I assume you wanted the colors to melt into each one another, thus the "soft" result and lack of detail. The bloom must be beautiful with these golden hues. Right now, our tulips that had started sprouting, are covered in 6 inches of snow. Take care.

Hi Giuseppe!
Glad you like it. I do like the flower, but, in truth, there isn't much choice right now! In fact, I've just about run out of versions of these. I guess I'll have to look back to see if there is anything i skipped through the fall.
All the best.

Hi Giuseppe,
Here's my 2 cents!! I like the original, mainly because once you start lightening the whole thing, you start losing the beautiful strong colors of the bloom. Ideally, a little external light could have highlighted the stamens but, there's nothing you can do about that. How nice that so many folks care about your work. Take care,
Greg

I see the confusion. These are not roses rather a flower called impatiens . Please see http://www.ces.ncsu.edu/depts/hort/consumer/factsheets/annu als/impatiens_wallerana.html for more information. Thanks always for your interest!. I'll have some more pics soon. Don't have any ready at the moment.

Hi Giuseppe,
I'm afraid I don't understand your question. "Che cosa e successo?" ( I don't have accent marks on my computer, or if I do, I don't know where they are) C'e qualcose molto male con la photografia? or did you mean, "what's happening?" = piu o meno , che succede?
anyway, tutto va bene. We have winter for the first time, snow and very cold.
Take care,
G
