You call this one 'Jenna in colour', but it is just the almost absence of colour that I like in this picture... making it very soft... Very nice picture, also the grain adds to it.

Great picture, the B&W is very well chosen, and the composition is very good.

LOL @ 'about'
But.. you are very very right... and the picture does succeed in both respects. This is a great one!

Very nice and natural portrait. Two remarks: the burnt out spot on his forehead, and the line of the background going through his head.

Same story, I like this one. The point of view is very well thought of, and the colors are very nice, as is the crop and composition. One thing perhaps is the fluid, which is a bit blurry as opposed to the rest, and therefor not immediately recogniseable.

I like this one Katleen... as well as the other one. I like the composition, and the colorchoice (brown vs yellow). One thing perhaps is the sharpness, but that may be due to the scan or jpeg compression. I truely wonder what the jury didn't like about this one?

Very good picture, love the soft tones, and the duotone. Also the pose and expression are very good.

Very nice picture, and very sharp. A bit a pity that his tail is not in the frame, but that's not really an issue.

This is a really great picture... The resolution seems to have a problem here on my pc, but it still is great. Lius does have a point that it is a bit underexposed, a little more light would've resulted in better colours too, but if you look at this one already, you can see that it is still great.

Wow.. quite a moody picture that you have here... I think the smog really adds to the picture here, it gives it a really strange feel. Well done!

Very well seen, the reflection of the sky on the beach is just great. I love the openness of the picture, to which the colorchoice really adds.

Great macro of this nice flower. Love the detail and the shallow dof you've used.

Very nice nightshot. I love the softness of the picture, the way that the playing children are still recogniseable as playing children, but no more than that. The soft colors are also very nice.

Very good work here, the colors really kick, and the white background works wonderwell! I love the shade in the background too btw.

This is a great image... Is it really the shadow? Or is it a silhouette of the actual teapot? Doesn't really matter, it is great. The composition, the background, and the shades (pot vs smoke).

Beautiful picture, very warm athmosphere coming from it. The reflection of the flames on the water are very nice, but the ones in the back are a bit distracting.

Thanks for your comment Mary Sue. I used a ringflash to light the rose, which is all of flash I have at this moment.
As for the 50mm, it is simply great. This is the lens I use most, sometimes (like here) together with an extension tube of 25mm. I recommend this lens to everyone.
If you want to see the results for portrait, feel free to browse my portfolio, as alot of the portraits are shot with this lens.

Thanks for your comment Britney. The lens really is a beauty. I would really recomment it to everyone. One thing though. To take these pictures I used the 50 f1.8 together with a 25mm Extension tube. This doesn't do anything to the image quality, but allows you to get closer to the subject, which allows macros.
