Hi Ron, the right kind of tripod is a must! Yes, there is a moon behind the building, but there is a lot of other light sources. For example there is some lamp-posts at the left side (where the yellow colour appears) and lot of distant city light. However it was hard to see anything but the moon during framing. Regards, Szymon.

Great long exposure shot Szymon. 10 minutes? Wow.
I hope that you are using a trusty tripod. Is the moon behind the building? Is that the source of light? Regards Ron.

A serious shot of a light subject. It's well thought out and executed.

Amazing, looks like sunrise or set. I especially like the reflection in the puddle. A great image from a great old camera.

WOW!

I can't find anything wrong with this photo. The point of view of the castle is great. The framing of the castle with the trees in the upper part of the photo and the brick wall in the foreground is excellent. Truly great framing.

The castle is a work of art in itself.

The road leading to the castle leads the viewers eyes towards the castle. The gradient blue sky looks amazing.

I can see why there are so many that have added this one to their favorites.

Congratulation's on the Staff's Choice. It's one of my choices too.

7+!

Nicely spotted shot, maybe a tad more contract would have been nice, and to lose the blue of the snow a little.

The child seems to be very comfortable perched on the edge of the rock near the water that it gives the whole photograph a sense of serenity. Yet, the look on the face also gives it a sense of wonder. Well done. Rodney
