...... Beautiful capture Robert! I can just hear in my mind the shutter firing as this guy is coming in and you tracking him!! awsome.... I Went to Texarkana today and got me a new flash card 110x high speed pro, what a difference! Should help with the nature and sports shots. I could not believe the change in speed in the continouos shooting mode! Then I was able to pick up a auto winder for my Canon AE-1! OOhhhhhhhh .......now I can't seem to Keep the camera in the bag anymore! I can't take my eyes off it now so I just set it on the shelf ................hehe Cant wait to try it out tomorrow. It will drive me crazy not being able to see the results right away! lol Keep shooting those fantastic nature shots! I love seeing the posibilities!!

Wow!!! I like both of these...very different feeling to each of them...you make it tough to choose...so I won't...love them both for different reasons. I love the punched up color one because it makes her eyes pop. I like the main one you uploaded because it has a soft angelic feel to it. Nicely Done!!!!

With all your wonderful photography in Libya and Cuba I had almost forgotten that Canada is your home my good friend.
This is a superb composition and most fitting for your National Day Nacho. I love the natural framing to the piece, the beautiful colour tones, and the flaming brazier is fantastic.....Well done to you dear friend. Sorry to be late but I had a busy weekend and am catching up yet again..... My very best wishes to you as always......Ray

What a gorgeous paw. It looks as though this animal is young or has not spent much time on rough surfaces. Its pads are pristine, and the fur so pampered and clean. My muts' paws are battered and muddy from a digging fetish.

As you've CC'd this, let me make take a closer look.
It looks like a fascinating building, but I feel the image is a little unbalanced - too much sky and not enough of the cathedral. I would like to see more of what's in the foreground (although you may have excluded this intentionally). I also find the two trees on the left lead my eyes away from the main subject.
Looks like there's a statue at the top of the stairs, in front of the cathedral, but this is somewhat lost against the background. A viewpoint further left could help here, so that the statue appears against the sky.
Hope this gives you some ideas, John

paolo this image gave me two different feelings and both of them are tight together very closely first one was that all people skoud have another line of theire life made by someone who admires them...that we are like a path, like a street and even two lines will be never crossed, all the time by ourside will be someone too much philosophy maybe? maybe it is because ot that moment you captured, those two young people aho make the black and white of theire relation, who make a couple on the path this black and white atmosphere is so sunny also thanks to them and thatecond feeling? that will stay my secret, ok? hugs

A double congratulations! Nice hands, and nice hands portrait. This conveys strenth and worry to me intensified by the low key choice. Nice detail with the lighting that filters throughout and distinguises the fingers. The humble ring fits the hands and looks like it's been worn a while.I appreciate that there is a spot of light that shows between the ring and the finger. To me the light may be a little too intense from the lower right. Curious what a high key treatment would look like. If you don't mind me asking, just wondering how many shots you might have taken. For this shot especially, relying on a little help from a friend,a digital is so helpful for shooting many frames. I'll sometimes take 20 or more and find just one I'm satisfied with. Nicely laid out with the diagonal composition. With the white background however and with no border or frame, it tends to get lost on the screen. Might I suggest one. Nice job.

Janet Marie,
this is stunning!!! I can't get over the way that all of the layers stack up over themselves so well! the details are just unreal!!!
I love you attention to the contrast, and tone... those dark trees in the foregound, and the stepping of the hills that fold away into the haze. *wonderful* shot. One of you best!
congrats on the double award... you very well deserved it!
cheers, and so glad you stopped for to take the photo! one of my favorites!
cheers, -joel

This is photography! i can't believe 12 members before me viewed and couldn't be bothered to leave a comment...hopefully they are not the type to walk by Gloria without as much as a hell'o... Congrats for your series idea and this first image conveys what is important...any of us could be in her position at any point in our lives... Great composing and i like her position within the framing... I wanted to do similar for a book in the style of Dorothea Lange, but recently found out there are several already out there and i couldn't afford to travel as much as i wanted to.. i will keep an eye out for others in your series regards, gayle

Very nice Phil!
welcome to the mad mad insane world of abstract art! You nailed it with this tighter crop version of the 'fork' collection!
can I make a 'Michael Kanemoto' suggestion? ...be nice to see all these together in a multi cell image. what do you think? they are all so nice.. I can see them printed large, and hung in some swanky Melbourne food joint!
well done again Phil!
cheers! -joel

Hi Gregory, I like this composition but I think the light was not on your side. The dark row of tree's lacks definition and the shadows on the mountain in the bottom left kind of blend into the tree tops. I see that you used a fisheye and the width to the picture is very nice. Not sure what time of day you took this but maybe there would be a time where the light is higher to reduce some of those shadows. Just some thoughts.... All the best, Chris
