Sorry, DOF is Depth of Field. You can have a minimal one where only stuff in the forground is in focus, or a deep DOF where everything is in focus. You can get these results by adjusting your appeture on your camera (big or little amount of time the shutter stays open.) If you have a fully automatic camera, sometimes they have a portrait mode that will blur the background for you. This will place the focus on the subject, in your case your friend. I've done some photo shop work to show you what I mean. What do you think of it? Dottie
