Blue filter above is too visible. Probably, it'd be better makes WB more blue and then enchanced blue color on HSL section of Lightroom. Regards, Serge.

Paul, 1. For me it's not important (awards), because I've already a lot of them. But for other colleagues it may be quite important. Personally, to be sure in their abilities. 2. Then, as I already said before, this site at least theoretically is about craft of photography. It means, imho, that it must give proper feedback to authors. If your's work is really good - you must receive an award. Otherwise this site is not useful et all. 3. Funny, but your're writing like kommmunsits in our country many years ago:) I do now "should" anything. It's my own will to show or to delete:). More than that the policy of this site is the same. If you need "big karma", you must not delete your's images. Doesn't matter, good or bad ones. As you can see, I have at the moment big negative value. Only because I've managed my images.
Regards, Serge.

Paul, I have deleted that portrait. Local site administrations hate portraits, I guess. Because they already twice did not award very good portaits by our colleague Karen Hanna http://www.imageopolis.com/image.asp?id=1655747 It is definetely the best photo of that day. Absence of award looks VERY strange. Regards, Serge

I mean, that composition depends on your's attitude to man-woman relationships. So it could be or horizontal (like man's hand) or diagonal (like woman's one). In last case both variants (man's higher or woman's higher) are possible, of course. From the point of view of picture dinamics diagonal from left bottom to right up is prefferably, imho. I'm not sure about composition. Diagonal would be better, imho. Then, VS means contrast. In this case, for e.g. high contrast on man's hand - and low contrast on woman's one. In current varian both hands looks masculine due to equally high clarity and contrast. Regards, Serge

Yes Paul, it's definetely not an Australia:) These buildings are populated by poor peoples. I was surprized that the center of the city in such situation. But this is choice/decision of local peoples, I guess. Centres of many old european cities (Regensburg, Genova, Florence) used for students, immigrants, etc. But in most cases they looks much more better. Regards, Serge

I agree with Ron. Compact camera is not good enough for such type of photos. I'd think about balance between different parts of this image (mainly top and bottom) Regards, Serge.
