Great shot. It looks a little over sharpened which is easy to fix. Great perspective and tones. It makes me miss being in the water.

Sean,
I was never a black and white photo lover. I usually ignored them. I never had found them appealing
BUT! This one stands out from all of them! I just love how the details of how the black and white colors played in this photo! The cool sharp whips of white on the top of the waves gives a lovely refreshing feel! I also love how you did not crop the left part of the photo to center the wave. This brings the feel of the "massive" wave! Good communication skills with your photograph! This one is truly admirable!
Congratulations on the BIP! It is one truly deserved award! I want to give you my BIP to turn this into a Staff's choice. (BIP + BIP = Staff's award!) : )

the sunrays here play a dominant role, with the surfers giving a sense of mystic concentration before the surf. That's all about mood here, welcome back!
