Very nice colours. I like that the subject is in very bright colours and the background is softer colours.

Very nice photo. It looks so natural. It is pieceful and tense at the same time.

A moldura negra reforça a imagem. A cor está demais!

Hi Gustavo, I sure missed alot of your shots. And some good ones, too! I like this minimalistic approach. The old phone, the grainy quality and the point of view create a perfect mix. I think this image would be very suitable for publication as a support image to emphasise a message. (Haven't decided on which message, though). Very good shot.

Cheers,

Hugo

Thanks for your comment, Thilo. The problem with low feedback might be just because I posted it during UF's low-traffic time. So, few people got to see it on the Photo Critique's first page. Then again, maybe not, maybe people just don't like it. Cheers.

Dear Gustavo,

the image is so cool, I cannot stand the fact that you're getting this slow feedback.
the cropping is outstanding, and the bw/grainy look really function well with the kind of old telephone. the title is also wisely chosen.
well done!
take care,
thilo

In my opinion, colour saturation is a little too much so that you miss some detail of the image and focus is missed a bit. I would recommend you focus on the stamen in the center of the flower.

New age ..esse tom com esse pontinho preto realmente está muito bom mesmo... agora esse desfocado nos dois lados é que ajudou a prender os olhos nos detalhes dos cordões esverdeados...como é grande este tiro Gustavo !!

Hi Stefan. Thanks for your comment.
After looking a bit more at this image, I think I can give you an answer.
I like the empty space here, not sure why. Maybe it's because the girls' part is so busy, and the empty space (with the simple line crossing it) gives a point to rest the eyes. Then again, maybe not.
Cheers.

A good shot and I also think that desaturation is a good edit. I agree with Samantha on the crop, not so much for the space in front of them (although that is not the direction they are facing), but for the corner that runs vertically through the image there.

Hi Hugo. Thanks for your comments. Sometimes I get impressed on how you get the details and feeling in a picture. Your comments are very valuable to me.

As for the question about your picture, thanks for answering. I'll try it sometime in the future.

Hi Gustavo, there's alot of tension in thsi shot. Converting it to B&W works well. Creative shot! Maybe a slightly larger angle (tilting the camera more) would've increased the impact a bit. Nice job, though. It makes me look at objects differently, which I always find very inspiring.

Cheers,

Hugo

Hi Gustavo, Excellent crop. The thin strip of land on the lower edge of the photo is essential to the composition. IMO, it could've ben a tad thicker too, but the lines and the simplicity of the scene is fabulous. Very strong image. The tones and gradient in the sky is awesome. Very creative work!

Cheers,

Hugo.

PS: thanks for your comment. As you know it's the fill flash that creates the effect of the see through people. Apart from neat image to get rid of some noise and resizing nothing in that image was edited. So it's almost straight out of the camera.
