Very nice series you have going on here Jose. Beautiful lighting in this one, showing off this nice statue and great surrounding architectural design.

Great abstract Gerry - love all the patterns and the monotone; except for the red which adds a nice impact. Nicely done.

Perfect reflection and moody colors from the clouds and sky. Great solid composition as well with the boats - very nicely done!

Wow Rina, those colors are amazing. Filters or PP work? Shots like these make me want to take out my kit lens again, which I haven't used in quite a while. Excellent work!

Wonderful portrait; bold colors and good sense of motion from the hair. Good lighting work to add a bit of mystery to her face - excellent work Anna

Excellent details and clarity - the stark black background really sets the front leaf apart and makes it feel like you can touch it. Perfectly composed with good use of negative space. Great!

Great work Sam - love the 'layers' to this photo from dark foreground, to water, land, clouds and beyond. Very nicely captured and perfect title as it fits the atmosphere IMO.

Beautiful colors Darlene and great textures from the ripples in the water as well as the clouds in the sky. The grassy silhouettes are a perfect touch for this landscape. Nicely done.

Good angle here and eye-catching colors. The slight blur is a nice touch for that sense of motion. Solid shot Galal, nicely done.

Love the colors to this (as is usually the case with your landscapes) and the winding road and lone tree are nice attention grabbers. Works pretty well for a photo which at first glance seems a bit too plain.

A simple and classic shot featuring a dark foreground with warm sky and clouds - works well and pleasant to view. Nature's work wonderfully captured.

Simple and elegant - a perfect blend of the snowy foreground and white sky. The dark pathway leading to the house is a good eye-catcher and the leafless trees really add to the atmosphere. Wonderful work Cessy.

Hey Terry,

Yup, Ft. Funston is about a 3 minute drive from where I live so I try to make it out there every now and then after work to try and catch some sunsets. I wasn't planning on shooting hang gliders but luckily they were out on this day.

I want to try and make it out to Fleet Week - most likely Sunday since that's my only day off. Unfortunately, the longest lens I have is only 135mm; then again, it's probably better to shoot a bit wider to include the cityscape. I've only watched the show from Crissy Field. Aquatic Park has some great views but I know it's going to be packed. Know of any good spots for photographers?

I really like the different layers present in this photo Andre - the clouds and sky, as well as the foreground water. Great array of textures and colors which combine different atmospheres into one image.

Thanks so much Rina. The original was a bit underexposed as I didn't want to blow it out - so a little levels adjustment was done to the image. I'd like to get some filters in the future, but for now, PP will have to do :)

Hi Rina, great work - especially the composition. The wide angle shows off the calm and relaxing scenery very well. The child coming towards the lens adds the perfect touch to this photo IMO. Is this with the DA 18-55? Works excellent for a "kit" lens.

Wonderful light, illuminating the bright green hill on which the cattle(?) graze. I like the feeling of depth to this, especially due to the contrast in colors of the foreground against the hazy trees in the distance. Very nice work Cessy.

Very nice warm tones for this scape photo. Solid silhouettes in the distance and good distinct contrast in textures between the smooth skies and rippled water in the foreground. Nice work.

Great use of tones which matches well with the texture of the wound-up hose. Good lighting as well to create those contrasting areas of shadow - nicely done Jan.

Hi Marc,
I've previously commented on this spectactular photo, but just wanted to add. Today, when I opened up my email newsletter for National Geographic, I saw this photo and knew I had seen it somewhere before - sure enough it was in my favorites. Congratulations on the 'Special Mention' for the 2006 Banff Mountain Photography Competition.

I really like the feel of your post-process work. It definately has that old look to it, with so much character. Great portrait of this wide-eyed girl Benedetto, excellent work.

Hi Jinggoy, I really like this shot - the post process you've done to it to get that old look is excellent. It has a sense of darkness, yet the colors really stand out - I really enjoy these type of shots. I know there's a lot of great photo opportunites in the Presidio like this. I need to go out there and capture some just like this

Hi Jinggoy, thanks a lot for the comment. I did have to get pretty close to this fly, probably about 2-3 inches away. It took off a couple of times on me, but kept going back to the same flower - so I just waited and slowly positioned the camera to get this shot off
