Lovely light and beautiful landscape Ade. Well seen and captured. I really like the winding road and the cars to add to the scale of the area.

Gustav,
when I upgraded to CS2, I failed to set the history property to collect my information of what I did.( I have corrected that now In a nutshell, I used layers for all of my corrections. Used threshold to find my bright and dark points and then set them with levels. Used individual RGB curves, used hue and saturation, Duplicated layer and used highlight and shadows to pull out detail, used curves again (Main) to add contrast and brightness. fine tuned with contrast and brightness. Used duplicate layer to sharpen. Changed image size, converted to rgb, converted to 8 bits and saved for the web. Had to reduce to about 85% to meet usefilm requirements.

Hope this helps

Claudio, this is a really nice photo however IMHO it has a few flaws. You dof is not very good and it looks like you handheld a night shot which is almost impossible to do. You have great clarity in the forground but you lost it in the background. You aperture selection was excellent to get the starry effect of the lights but they are blurry Had you used a tripod this would of definately been a winner.) Hope my critiqe does not offend. My intention was to point out deficiencies so you could improve. BTW. welcome to usefilm.

, Not questioning your bird ID's,just trying to learn. I'm a relatively new birder and am trying to learn proper ID's . With the red gorget, he just looked like a ruby to me, I will definately look into my books and get this straight

Very nice Rich, I love the dof as well as the secular highlight above the hummers head. It really emphasizes the birds eye. Good work and welcome to usefilm.

PS: Are you sure thats an Anna and not a Ruby Throated? Now I'm from the East coast and dont even know if Ruby throateds go out west but he sure looks like one of ours Take a look at my portfolio and let me know what you think.
