Mary I think this is incredibly creative work. I really appreciate the composition and post work and other than that contrast (I think including the midtones as well) - I can't think of a better or more creative image of this place.
The double-exposure and the open sky (with just a tad bit of drama to help set the scene) give me a real feel for the history innately associated with this place . . . to say nothing of a feel for the passsage of time. B&W was an excellent choice . . . the ONLY choice really . . . for this. Marcus nailed it . . . a real dramatic look . . . and, interestingly enough, a dynamic composition. Impressive work!

Hi dear Mary,
Nice catching view. I like the atmosphere here created by this nice warm light. The bird does add to this image. The composition is good.
I think Riny gave a nice suggestion.

I can only tell this is very original and eyecatching composition. I reviewed some of the comments above and kind of agree that a lil bit of contrast would probably have helped, but I have no problem seeing this great photo. Very original thinking and wish you all the best dear Mary.

Welcome to P.S., dear Mary. It took me a special course & then private lessons to get my first clues as to how to bebefit from it. It gives one so many options & then it's up to anybody's taste to choose which option to like. I susually ask "the Missus" (as you called her & thanks for thinking of her) to decide for me which option to go for. Yours I like. I'm happy for you being home. As I told you, we've been in your homeland in 1982, but only for a few days. I remember the Jeepneys & their decorations.

Yes I can see more "P". This is a Perfect view and would well fit to a song I know from Lou Reed, "O, it's such a perfect day, you keep..."
I know how difficult these shots are, but you succeeded with a great result. The colours are beautiful and I like the compostion you have choosen. Good POV and quite well fitting DOF.

Hi Mary,
Beautiful and cute portrait. You caught the innocent and a bit shy expression perfectly. I also like the powerful colours here.
The expression is simply great. Nice work, my dear, compliments and go on with these nice images.
Try to find out if you have a talent for shooting these nice expressions young children can show.
My intuition says that you have this vibe.
I would like to see more of such nice tender expression images.

Yes it is happening here already some were forced to ahve an early retirement some were not renewed some have to look for job elsewhere due to increase pressure but for some like me stick and waiting for the unknown:(.but hey cant complain still got a job right?But hope NHS future will be brighter in the coming years.Thanks for the comment
