Thank you Sylvia,..... I've just about got to the stage where I find myself saying....WHAT HAVE WE DONE!
I'm sure it will all work out fine in the end though.

I agree with Tony but must admit that like you I also sometimes would rather leave things in the shot, especially when in Spain as sometimes there are so many things one would have to clone out. ;)

Thank you for your wonderful comments on my work, truly appreciated. :)

Jan...
Her royal highness was feeling a bit miffed..... With the move to Spain only a few weeks away now her palace has lost its usual splendor. What is even worse is that she keeps being brought large cardboard boxes, but each time she leaves them some silly human fills them up with very uninteresting things in order to spoil her fun!

If all that’s not bad enough she has now had to go through the indignity of going to the vets for a PASSPORT!!!!.... She was heard muttering...'what the hell does a princess cat need with a passport'?
She is getting rather excited though about the special box just for her that she has heard her humans talking about….. She can't work out though what her new special box has to do with the big silver bird she hears the humans talking about in low voices, and she wonders if they are going to put the silver bird in the special box for her as a treat for being such a good little princess and not biting the vet.

An excellent portrait of a beautiful cat!
Thanks for your comments on my work, sorry I haven't had the time to comment on yours....I am moving to Spain so all my time at the moment is spent packing boxes!

Take no notice of Tony, I'm sure that a visit to the British Houses of Parliament would be very entertaining..... especially if he remembers to bring his fireworks.

And that's why we love you Jan.....we are rather partial to nuts!
Great story that I've only just seen as I'm so busy packing boxes for the move to Spain....and yes I do know all about the drains....maybe it's better to use the woods! ;)

Thanks Beks, I'm glad someone else enjoys strawberries as much as I do.... They have been very good this year, but I'd better make the most of them while I canas with all the rain we have been having there won't be many more!

There is nothing more to say about this that hasn't already been said, I like it very much!
The composition is excellent, with the figure of the man suggesting more people out of the frame all of whom are enjoying a pleasent mediteranean evening. :-)

I would have been tempted to crop more off from the top, for me the beauty of this image is the wonderful reflection!
Like Tony I have never seen this place without lots of people about....you got very lucky and it resulted in a gorgeous image!

Thanks for the suggestions...I agree whith what you are saying.
When I took the shot I never intended to keep the larger flower in the frame, it was only when I saw it on screen that I liked it... even though had it been intentional I could have done better.

Thanks for you input, it's much appreciated!

I really like this shot but wonder what it would be like if it was taken from a lower angle close to the bottle, possibly with less of the sky and tree tops in the frame....
I feel that sort of composition would concentrate attention more on the main section of the image while giving it a more artistic feel.....

Just thinking out loud really!

Meg.

Glad you liked them!
No there was no post processing on these shots other than a little sharpening before creating the colage.
These were all taken on a crisp November day just as the sun was setting behind the Pennine Hills of northern England..... We get the most gorgeous sunsets here at that time of years so there is no need to enhance the colours at all, these are straight out of the camera.

Regards,
Meg.

An excellent sunset image!
Your chosen perspective puts use right there with you. Your inclusion of the planes in the shot and your notes add that little bit extra to a very pleasing image to view!
This gets a very elusive 7 from me...also into my favorites.
