Waterfalls in full are particularly tricky, Rona.
I'd suggest shooting at -2 EV so the detail in the whitest of the water isn't blown out.

Hi Paul, thank you on the comments and your help. With this one I put an intentional soft gaussin blur on it to give it that sweet look. So to speak.

Remember when you get in close like this, you need to increase your f-stop to expand the area that will be in focus. In this shot, though, soft focus gives it a romantic feel.

Humberto, I agree with Paul. Do one for free and tell ther that you are an amature and not to have high expectations. But! With that said, go in there and shoot with confidence and trusr me you wont have any problems. I DID!

Humberto,
The best first job would be to do it for free at a friend's wedding (as a wedding gift).

?
I thought you had gotten a Digital Rebel, (which is either a 300D or 350D, depending on how new it is) but your details say Canon 30D.

Which one?

As for this photo, it is exposed nicely.
You may want to do a light sharpen on your images as a last step before saving the .jpg. Also, the black edge doesn't do anything for me.

Full attention.

- You're going to LOVE the 30D, girl! That is also a seriously fine lens. The image stabilizing will be critical in reducing blur from lens shake.

Telephoto tip: make sure you're shooting at LEAST 1/400 or 1/500 sec. when shooting max telephoto, to avoid blurred shots. Welcome to the Digital SLR club!

I love that intense look cats get when they are stalking something. What a pretty cat - she looks so much like mine but yours looks about 20 pounds lighter than mine. Good to see a post from you!
