Thank you Guy . To be honest , I would have preffered more "blur" in the rotors , but , I was at the limit of what this camera could do as it will only go as low as ISO200 . I could have gone to f22 or so but I did not want to degrade the image quality any more than this . This particular lens was designed for f2 - f5.6 .

Thanks Gayle . This image was shot with a 1.4x teleconverter on the 200mm lens which made it even tougher to hand hold :)

Thank you Bill . Well , the D1x is proving to be WAY better than I ever expected ! Many feel that it is "dated" technology , and I guess in a lot of respects it is . But , with it , my abilities are BY FAR , the limiting factor .

Actually , Bill , there was no noise at all . It was completely , and totaly silent . Kinda creepy.
One moment the sky was blue , the next , it was black like the sun went down .

Unfortunately Chelsea , I really did not have the optimum lens on the camera at the time this event occurred . I took a few "landscape" type shots and then ran back in the house to grab my 17-35 AF-s lens . When I returned , it was over .

Thanks Melinda . Essentially , this image was only converted to B&W simply because the sky was sooo dark , there was almost no color anyway .
I will play with the original hi rez file a bit and probably make a 13x19 print :)

I am looking VERY hard at either a Nikkor 200mm AF-s VR f2 , or , a 300mm AF-s II f2.8 :)
My current 300mm AF-s f4 is already pre sold so I need a replacement .

Thank you Bill . It's been very hectic for me lately and I have not had much time to post images . Plus , I've been concentrating on "acquiring" another lens . Good grief :)
