About Taken November 13th, on a bitterly cold and remote, Northumbrian Moor.

This sky just cried to me "Tek is nu, marra"! This is in the Anglo-Saxon, Geordie, dialect, The standard English translation is, "Take me now, friend!"

I used my abysmal quality, US ebay, $42 'fisheye' lens. But it creates acceptable images - and this sky just cried for it!

A special sky, on a special day, for my dear friend, Jude.

15mm wide angle!!!!

The colours of the sky are incredible. I like the transition from the light sky in the forground to the dark, almost evil feel of the background. Great job.

Very beautiful and mysterious. Only a pitty that the base is so dark.

Hi Colin, a really beautiful sunset, good composition with the bush. It is a pity the glowing sky is so noisy. What ISO setting did you use? I have tried to correct it with NeatImage and, curiously, even that program could not achieve any significant improvement. Maybe because of the fisheye which otherwise has a fantastic perspective. Best, György

Thank you for adding more imagery to this for me, Ingrid - with your excellent, and descriptive comment.

And yes, the sky did glow deep red, after the sun set behind the cheviot hills. The southerly angle of the sunset, always brings beautiful sky colours, at this time of year.

Colin.

Colin, what an unsual sky you've captured. Reminds me of cottonballs with embers underneath. After the sun set, did the sky and clouds glow with 'aftercolor'. These type of clouds always lend themselves nicely to soaking up beautiful colors. Excellent job!

Beautiful Skyscape...Colin!
...Composition!...I would Suggest...Cutting the Foreground....to a Minimum!...as the Main feature...of the Scenic View,...is the Sky!
...Just a Friendly Comment....!!!
Jeff.

This is a fantastic sky image, Colin. The contrast is almost too much for my eyes. The silhouette of the tree gives it a good feeling of depth.

Kind regards, Markus
