made me think of an old movie. Barbarella, The out of focus background almost feels like a wave crashing over her. Really well thought out. I see no reason not to try Hugo's suggestions to see how they add or subtract to your original vision.

I'm not normally interested in this type of image, but this one attracted my eye in the thumbnail as out of the ordinary.
I was not dissapointed and whilst I think there are things in what Hugo says if you take each component individually, this is one of those images that goes against the rules and really sticks in your face.
I really like the incongruiity of the log size and the DOF is really mind blowing. I don't know why because if you apply the standard "good image" rules it shouldn't work but I think it does.

Hi Lubomir, Not the most elegant pose, a bit forced and not too complimentary for the model, I believe. Also, there is a whitish wash around her, which I presume originates in the postprocessing. (heavy dodging? Shadow/highlighs in CS2? Difficult to tell...)
Looking at the other photos in your portfolio, I believe you can do much better than this. IMO, taking the shot from a different angle, using a lighter log for the woman to hold and possibly composing the photo a bit more off centered could introduce the dynamism and tension it needs.
