About What's behind that door? The demons of the past? The hopes for the future?
Will you open it for me?

Some reduced abstract stuff this time. Seen in a museum. You might think: Why does this guy do pictures of doors in a museum? Well, good question =)

Thanks a lot for the feedback on this rather old image of mine ;-)

I like your composition, this composition for such a subject gets difficult when it looks simple. I think you have presented it logically, but i might suggest or just give my opinion, perhaps going a little more closer to the lock? just to see the little details? )
cheers.

It certainly is a strange system. But I'm not going to complain.
This one didn't last long on the front page this time. Maybe someone realized it was up a few weeks ago. So they took it down.?

Hi Thilo,
It looks like the Critique double for this one!!

As I said before, I hope it encourages people to look beyond this image and "open" up the rest of your portfolio :)

Hi Hugo,

well, I may imagine what you mean :-) Fact is that the museum guys really look kind of confused as I walked around and shoot the things that are NOT on display in the exhibition context ;-)))

Hi Thilo,
I'm glad I helped to get you up there on the front page..... I just hope people will go back into your portfolio and visit the rest of your images as well.
Maybe they shouldn't encourage me too much with my critiques going on the front page??

Hi Thilo, nice graphical work. I shot a bunch of this type of images, too, but I'll wait with uploading them I like the very subtle perspective, allowing the viewer a glimpse of what's under the handle. As to shooting doors in a museum? Oh, well, I've done weirder things, so no surprises there...;)

Cheers,

Hugo

You know, this does have a creepy sort of feeling to it. I'm wondering if the itty bitty lock is strong enough to keep the demons trapped. I like the long line of the door crack-when looking from the bottom up it adds a dramatic effect. Nice find~

Imageopolis Featured Photo Critique Thilo,
I think locked behind this vault like door will be some of the most valuable, ancient secrets that the museum has. There will be ancient objects so valuable that they can never be exposed to the light of day. Perhaps some secrets of even more importance than the Da Vinci Code!

Or, it could be where the caretaker keeps his carton of beer hidden behind the mop and bucket. :)

very simple yet very impresive ,the answer is that many could have passed this door without noticing it but you did and you made something nice out of it to show us here on usefilm. I did like the image and your sharp eye to spot it . ( touch wood ) , very best regards my friend ..
