Hi Dave,
I think that is a very good idea. I use this border with all my pictures because it makes it look like I'm viewing through a portal on my desktop, which has a black background. I would certainly consider other borders for other purposes.
Thanks for commenting!

Classy photo, Todd. Ottawa is in the news, today, for sure! Your frame somehow doesn't feel right on this image, not really punctuating anything. Would you consider a white border, with maybe a dark pinstripe?

The bridge in the FG with its rerflection in the water balances so well the skyline in the BG. Wonderful night shot. Mary

What a cool shot, Todd! The silhouette of the bridge and the reflection in the water are both great! I love the moody tones and the composition! Well done! Kathy

Hi Dave,
The bridge is an old train bridge that's not used anymore (although there is talk of using it for a light rail commuter train). I was at the west end of Ottawa, along the parkway by the river at Lemieux Island, looking east towards the downtown core. The Parliament buildings are just out of the picture to the left (north).
Thanks for all your encouraging comments, Dave.

Nice night shot, Todd! Which bridge is that in the foreground? I like the reflection you caught in the open water, too. Dave.
