Don't you just love those little details, they really do come together to make an image appealing. Such as the shadow you mention and the sparkle in the lashes, and the subtle shadow of the blinds across the face. Beautiful portrait work~

I like the shadows across your face. Great crop, nice sharp focus on the eye. I wish the blown out spot on your nose wasn't there but the rest is very nice.
