Blue color also complements the yellow and looks more natural, Toni!

The difference in the white and black background is similar to daylight attire and evening attire. A flower of brilliant color will generally look it's best against a very contrasting background. Very well done, Dan. The only thing I would suggest is a reflector to get some light onto the stem.

I agree with Matt, though I find the white more original. It seems black is the color of choice as a background for light colored flowers. Probably for a reason, but this flower is dark enough to also work against white.

The black one I prefer. The color is richer and I think the the water droplets give the photo more depth. Nice Shot
