I actually noticed it myself. Thx for comment on battery grip, never thought of that lol, but the 20D has worked out fine. :-)
Have a good weekend.

Now that it's too late, did you consider using the battery grip for the 350D for extra hand realty? I think I'm going to go that route though my hands are small, I'd like the larger batt capacity and the vertical grip.
Thanks a lot for you comment. Did you notice because I commented on the colored eye or did you notice it yourself? Just curious as to how many people actually noticed without me saying anything. I figured most wouldn't.

Great Mood Shot! Especially like the way it's all BW except for her brown eye, nice tones. Good Work. I was going to get the 350D, but my hands are too big to handle it, so ended up splashing out on a 20D, BOTH GREAT DSLRs though, eh!
Later.

Great use of window light, the black and white tones are good too, but what makes this click is the look in her eyes! The news paper seems a bit washed out some working on the layers could fix that, yes I do have some selective coloring with B&W images in my portfolio but im not such a big fan of it, this would have been so much powerful in either black and white or color Good work

Pants?! That's such a freaking cool term! I'm pants, too when it comes to lighting. I just did a quick point and shoot, messed with the levels in PS a bit, and voila! She was sitting in a reclining chair that's a few feet away from windows as the sun was begining to set. I made a closeup of this shot where it's only her eye and part of her nose and part of the newpaper but like you, I really like the lighting of her hair. Thanks for the kind comments, Sally!

I really like the side lighting and the way it catches her hair - I reckon if you lost the bottom inch of newspaper (up to the bottom of the bar code)- it would strengthen her gaze. How did you do the lighting? I'm really pants with light - and I'd like to take an atmospheric shot like this.

Thanks, Mark. I'm still trying to master light and B&W. I like how this shot turned out. I think I'm going to have to buy a 350D soon... and stock up on photography books. I envy the tone of you shots and the quality - I would love to be able to take similar shots.
I figured you were busy - you been playing with your band? I recently got involved in a neo-classical group with 7-string guitars. I bought a Steve Vai Universe for $250USD in Seattle a few years ago and have repainted it with a color-changing paint (it goes from green to purple) - I'll have to take photos of it after I put the last final coat on it.
ROCK ON! Morgan
