Your crop looks good. I left the empty place on the left on purpose to create some kind of a rule of thirds effect. Just want the viewers to think what could have been there. As you know you get these photos with the help of lots of luck. The more wide you keep it the better to capture the lightning streaks as they are random in coming. What is WS ?

Thanks Avishek , I know Nilanjan for a while now. This picture is one shot, that is the magic of D50s higher ISO noise reduction system, The horizon that you see is the original line.

Thankyou Mary. I waited 2 years to get my shot. As the monsoons arrive in India theres plenty of thunderstorms and this is the time to attempt such a shot. May be you can plan a vecation to India ! All the best.

This is a great capture of the lightening and to get two strikes. Superb. I, also have been wanting to get a lightening shot. No luck so far. I'd be thrilled if I can someday get one as good as this.

Thanks Kshitiz. Chasing storms can be fun , but a little dangerous. You need to have proper protection from the winds. I took this shot from the 11th floor balcony of an apartment.
