About The intricate stonework on these spires are near the top where only those who look to the heavens will be rewarded with their detail. I like the way the sky came out in this photo taken in the midmorning of 3/13/03. The main tower of the church is enclosed in scaffolding for restoration.

I like what you were trying to capture but the time of day (lighting and shadows) the photo was taken at does not help define your subject. I think trying to same shot with the sun in a different postion in the sky (producing less shadows) would result in a much better photo. I do like the contrast between the blue sky and grey stone of the building.
