Your welcome Todd, I had only seen one once before that's why I wasn't sure in my first reply. Your right though they are amazing creatures and once you see one you never forget them. Wish I could capture one like your's. You did a great job showing all the detail. The clear wings are fantastic. Bill

Hi Bill,
I thought I replied already to this message. I just want to thank you for finding the name. I googled it and ended up at the site where you got the picture from. Amazing creature!

Hey Morgan,
This guy freaked me out. Don't think I've ever seen such an exotic bug. His wing span was at least 2 inches. I found him in a huge patch of 4 foot high ferns, drenched in sunlight. Couldn't ask for better.
Congrats on the new Rebel. You're going to love it!

DAMN, dude! This is an excellent shot! I LOVE the blurred, super-saturated green behind the leaves.

Hey Todd, I'm not sure but it kind of looks like a Humming Bird Moth??? It would be easire to tell from seeing it from the side but like I said I'm not sure??? Anyway it's a great capture, love the plant it's on and the sharpness and color are spot on,to my eye anyway. Bill
