Yes it is a beautiful place but 'nothing ' is fun in life alone....

Thank you Mary. They way they do it is pay money to swim, take the ferry out and they have already signed a contract that when they jump in they don't go back for the boat...thats all in humor but truth. Why they do it, is what I don't understand....that water is cold! And some do it without wetsuits!

Thank you Sheila, the water was cold, but it was probably one of the warmer weekends they have had. I tried to take credit of bringing southern California weather to the north, but they did not believe me.

Michele, he is smart and fun. I don't get much exercise other than walking closer to take a picture and hitting the shutter button (got a strong right index finger!). okay maybe a exercise more than that, but not like my boss!

He sounds very smart and fun...! I am happy to hear this ... I have always loved sports, and exercise, etc. ( thankfully) because after 50 if you don't it seems like everyone begins to have health problems and it's sad ....:(((

Cathy, this is really the name of the race. These people here are actually now inside the cove and fairly safe. Happy to say all 800 swimmers made it back and my boss (who did this swim for the first time) came in 115th with a time of 42.008 minutes. The youngest swimmer was 8 years old and the oldest was over 80. Personally I think they are all CRAZY.
