Hi John,
I've learned a couple of tricks that seem to help,like turning off the VR when it's on a tripod and laying my hand on top of the lens to reduce mirror slap.
I still have a ways to go but learning is almost as much fun as just shooting away,

Well done to you John-Eric in winning this well deserved award. This is a wonderful capture of this quartet of geese all caught with a different wing movement. You have judged the shutter speed well....not too fast but slow enough to give us the right amount of motion. You also panned well and took that little bit of extra time to ensure that you had a great balance to your shot. Well done to you my friend.....All the best....Ray:)
