No, Robin, your skill with this image makes it photoart. A moody introspective image of great sensitivity and form. It makes one look into their inner self, at least for myself. Beautifully composed, with an engaging color gamut. Lens effect of water droplets greatly contributes to the mood of the image. Well done, Robin. Anson

wow..such a lovely capture..liked the reflections on water droplets..I even liked the blurry colorful background which helps water droplets to get more attention.. With best wishes, -Pradnya

Wow! This is SO BEAUTIFUL Robin! I love the colors and that one perfect water droplet is so perfectly in focus that it looks like it could be a little glass bead. Great job!

(sniff) Thanks Ang!
No extension tubes and really, no "photoart"...As I replied to Giuseppe, other than normal post process adjustments, I only applied a filter to intensify the color. We know how that (photoart vs. real photo) discussion goes don't we?! ;) Thanks for the wonderfully composed (but certainly not long-winded) comment. I like that you take time to "study" before leaving a critique and always look forward to reading your opinion! (As long as it does not differ from mine) Another astounding and a couple of wows...holy crow!
Take care...Robin
ps...2 wows and an astounding gets you a comment rate of "Good"...unfortunately "stupendous" is not an option.

Thank you for the comment Giuseppe...I do not know if photoart is the appropriate term (my mistake). Other than normal adjustments, I only applied a filter to intensify the color...nothing more. I am glad you like it, photoart or not! :) Take care...Robin

Wow Barney!
. . . you really have this narrow-minded . . . errrr . . . . I mean narrow DOF . . . stuff down pat! LoL! I'm guessing extension tubes for this one? Hmmm . . . where to start..... Ok . . . the colors look very good and work together nicely so good choice to 'photoart' this one . . . though without the original to compare I can't say positively that it's an improvement . . . I can only say this version works.
But the drops! They totally make this shot. An awesome view refracted through those tiny drops and the clarity on the front left one makes it feel like a marble from my childhood days rolled together by Mother Nature herself and gently placed on a petal. The one on the right I wish were sharper focused because I was spoiled by the "Astounding" (yes, I said it) clarity of the first one . . . and it reminds me of my old catseye marbles. As far as the bokeh . . . I can only say Wow.
Caption: "Your petal or mine?" Heheheheee.
Great shot!
Best Regards, Doyle I <~~~~~

Robin I don't undenstand fully what you have done and I don't know if this is photoart. What I known is that the selective focus and the composition are excellent, that the blended colours are beautiful, really beautiful. I like the photo. Cheers.

Thanks for the visit Gayle, it IS good to hear from you! It's true, surgery in a couple of weeks...I am in good hands, the best of the best in the Chicago area. We (my family and I) have the utmost confidence in my surgeon...she sounded pretty confident too, whew! Thanks for wishing me well, I appreciate it.
Your comment makes my day...not only that you like the image, but more importantly that you can see an improvement over time...that is the ultimate goal, and one of the reasons for being here on uf! Fun and great friends are the other perks! Thanks again Gayle, you make me smile! Take care...Robin

test test...hehehe...always wanted to do that for some odd thrill reason...i know,"easily amused"...
first off, only just learned about you having brain surgery and all i can say is that you better have the best care around cause we will not stand for any incompetence!...gurl,you are a trooper and i wish you the very best...and a quick recovery..
now,i see that i have missed way too many fine, fine images and am blown away by many,Robin...i remember that you had a great artistic sensibility, but you have fine tuned your talent/skills over the months...
This macro photo-art image is romantic, soft where it needs to be and sharply focused where it needs to be....there is such a warmth emanating from this shot...it makes me think of the Victorian era and something one would see in the parlor...
Simple and simply beautiful.... hugs, gayle 7+

Another beauty Robin. The magnifications in the water droplets are fantastic. They remind me of those glass paper weights with the swirls of coloured glass in the centers. Sharp as a tack, but still soft. Tweek the colour, crop it up, call it photo-art...whatever, it's a stunning shot! smiles, Bek:)
