Hi Hilton - I made a small mistake - I use Neat Image for noise reduction and Focus Magic for sharpening - the limited edition of both can be downloaded for free.

Imageopolis Featured Photo Critique Hilton, the saturated colours due to the wetness and low cloud conditions is great. Your composition works very well, creating a mosaic of blocks of contrasting colour. The slight halo around the tree trunk is most probably due to a bit aggressive use of the shadow/highlight feature in PS (playing a bit with the radius setting helps to limit the effect). My main critique is the softness of the tree trunk, where imo it should be pinsharp. ( I use Neat Image for sharpening - free on the internet and more subtle and better than PS imo). Great work!

A great composition with wonderful colors. I have two minor points. There is a horizontal tonal aberration across the very top of the photo, and there is light halo around the trunks of the subject tree. My personal preference, and here we are simply in the realm of preference, would be to have the subject tree stand out a bit more and have its feeling of wetness enhanced a bit. I've appended a quick workup of what I mean.
Really nice work!

I love the skies after a storm has passed through... you get such wonderfully saturated colours! This has an almost watercolour feel to it. It really stands out as an unique landscape.
Great framing with the trees on the right... balances out the interesting scene of the left.

Wonderful colours and textures. Great to see the details of that bark and gaze through to those reflections.

Great colors and smooth, wet textures, unexpected and disconcerting. Very painterly. A unique and fascinating shot. Really nice.
