Yes, I need light up here:-) Fortunately we´ll have lots of light in the summer, but not neccessarily warm weather though:-(

No Annemette, you prefer your way, but i would treat it deferently, but the basis is there in your original photo :) I like darkest pictures, i am from the enlightned south already :)

GReat of you taking the time to help me, Jorge. I see what you mean making more contrast. I still have doubts about what I prefer as there was much fog and bright light. Still it´s probably good always going for contrast as you did. Thanks Jorge:-)

Thank you for your narrative comment. I´m happy that I manage to create such moods and feelings in you. I hope to improve within this field while learning from you and others. There´s so much to be shared. Take care

This has such wonderful atmosphere, Annemette... it's like a hazy dream of childhood innocence and long forgotten days which seemed to last forever. You have a rare talent for conveying old memories with your photographs... there are several that collectively form a scrapbook of fragments from a personal history that crosses over into the realm of collective experience of what it means to be alive...

THank you very much, Joggie. Do you mean the snow on the bottom? Great getting good advice especially from you. I only got the new cam with the 18-135 Nikkor a few days ago, but I do enjoy it much especially because I´ve been transfering from a small compact camera. Good optics and I like the range from 18-135 giving a variety of photoopportunities. I do miss having a macro-lens, but that must come down the road. I did notice another Van Staden on UF. I must check out some more of his photos:-) Best wishes Annemette

Lovely tones and fascinating pattern made by the branches receding in the mist. One thing that distracted me is the bright areas center-bottom but they can be cloned-out very easily in PS. Lovely image Annemette. I am glad to see you bought the D80, my younger brother, Sarel,(new on UF) get some great results with it. How do you find the 18-135 Nikkor? I am interested to get one myself. Regards. Joggie
