Any suggestions you ask. Well, I would personally have made the photo clearer in order to be able to see the tears better as they are significant to the poem. Right now they could almost be like the "dirt" we have in our eyes in the morning;-) Just a suggestion, Srna:-)

Perfect shot ! Well it's an IG for photography, so I'll start with that. It is a great view, with this well used diagonal line. So composition is very nice. The greytones and grain fit excellent to this. And these beautiful eyes, ohh... You caught the moment so right. Their glance and the way she looks so straight into my eyes. Wonderful catch, my dear Srna.
It's an image to which it is - because of the expression and intense view - "easily" to connect a poem. But, then, which one ? What would words would fit to this fabulous view ?
Easily does not mean that you need not to be careful and accurate.
I think your choice of the great Mr. E. Poe is an great choice, specially this poem.
I could imagine some alternatives but they are Dutch and not translated to English. So no option.
I don't know if you are familiar with Antoine de
Saint-Exupery (The little Prince). The view of Annie I could imagine to fit well to some statements of his small but fine bookstory (1951).

Excellent B&W; the eyes are absolutely gorgeous and you made the right decision to present them in an angle. Well done! The noise is quite attractive. The picture would be a total success with a more subtle frame; its complexity steals a lot of perceptual attention from your subject; just look at it and feel your eyes jumping from the image to the frame and back to the image, etc.
Poe is one of my favourite writers and I was delighted to read one of this poems here. I became a bit nostalgic as I associate him to another epoch of my life.
