I'm glad you posted this one here Dave ... it's too good not to share. Welcome to UF. This image says volumes and in this instance, that alone makes it succeed.

That's a stunning capture David. Well...in my opinion it looks just right...there is no requirement for changing the horizon, absolutely no! There is not much tilt either, and even if there is, it really makes no difference. As far as cropping of the toes are concerned, I think it would've been better had it been there but as you say, you couldn't have helped it with such a low angle. It's always better to capture the right candid moment than to miss it in order to do some negligible things correct. Bravo David...will look forward to your work :) 7/7 Regards Subhrajit

Thanks for the crit, Lydia! :)
Yes, I love his toes too - they make the picture for me, and the way his hair is hanging over his face. Very cute, I think. Its a pity I cut off the toes at the bottom of the frame - the camera was much too low to the ground for me to see through the viewfinder (this was candid and I was crouched beside him). You're right, in hindsight, I should have corrected the horizon.

Welcome to Usefilm, David! This is so characteristic of little children - just look at those toes! Lovely candid shot. IMO you should have rotated the image by a few degrees in order to rectify the angle of the wall and shrubbery. Groetnis Lydia
