Lovely detail of the road. Great perspective. I like the hill in the road, makes it more interesting. Also, the textures in the cement contrasting to those in the soft sky. I may have even cropped it further, giving enphasis on the perspective and length of the road. Vanessa

Thanks, John! I crested this hill, and much to my wife's distress, quickly stopped the car and pulled over on the shoulder.
Not a car in sight, so I went to the middle of the road and got several shots.
The sky was a little flat, so I added a faint blue gradient to add contrast to the clouds and make the sky pop.

Impressive shot, the lower closed to the lines point of view gives very strong the feeling of depth and perspective into your image, and the watcher's eyes trying to fallow these yellow lines to...the end ...amazing also the element that after some meters the road disapeared and when it is viewed again it has the size of the lines at the end of the foregrounded road, very good! Best regards!

Great shot Paul.
Great DOF for a well focused road in the foreground and blury clouds for the perfect background. But what really makes the shot for me is the second showing of the road in the centre of the image offset by the bright road sign.
All the best, Ed

Paul, it's a real vanishing point, great perspective that is almost reaching skies at the far end. Cheers, NJ

I do. But, for future reference... I prefer "Jimmie" it is a bit more Brit in the spelling and I am such an Anglophile.

Ya know... I do not do the recent posts page often. Maybe once every 4 or 5 months. This is the second time this month I have been there. I usually scroll down looking for pics that appeal to my eye. More often than not I find nothing. I was doing that tonight when I saw this. I stopped... looked... read the name...
dang, man! You do some good work every now and then...;)
(I would have cropped this quite a bit lower for more of a panorama look... but still, as is, ya got my attention)
