Hi Jeff - yes I do live down here - bit of a bummer but someone has to live here. The Earnslaw is a pretty famous steamship - it had to be transported overland and then reassembled before being put into Lake Wakatipu.

Hi Mike. Thanks for your comments.
I see you have similiar photos of lake steamers in your portfolio. I have attached a picture showing the steamer sailing on Lake Brienz after it had dropped us off (we were on holiday). The ice blue colour of the water in the lake is from the glacial run off from the high mountains nearby (The Eiger being the most famous). I presume that this is the same on South Island NZ. Do you live there?

Excellent shot, a beautiful place and a great old boat trying to pass once again that lake... after 1000s of times, the focal length is REALLY SUPERB!!! I can even belive that is not a shot taken with f/11 but with f/....100!!! stunning, clarity at the foreground water, at the boat AND at the mountains that must be lot of miles away... the clarity is "all the money" here Mike, excellent!
