The promo pic he/she actually ended up using. All the same equipment and overall setup as the "vintage" pic I did for her, but used a bit differently. The little glints on her jewelry were added using a custom-made brush in Photoshop.
It's actually a man (a drag queen). As for the skin, LOTS of Dermablend (a type of very thick foundation makeup that requires a spatula and a hair dryer to apply), and a bit of healing brush in Photoshop around the eyes. ;) Throw in very light tones and soft-focus diffusion, and, well, there ya have it.
