The idea hier was to use the window through which that man looked so contemplated as a canvas on which the motion blur could create something that stands in contrast to the rest. I tried some shots and this was the best of them. Any comments would be very welcome.
Thanks a lot for the interpretation, Sonya, which I admit I didn't exactly understand. A "mining lass" that he is "surprised of"? Could you explain that to me?
I see only a tired man that returns home after working a whole day, and of course this is a good time for thinking of nothing because of tiredness, looking out of the window for letting the time pass by quickly, and seeing not really much more expept some fast blurred flashes of the world that passes by. So your interpretation sounds spectacular but also needs some more detailed explanation to me.
Still, what about the image? Interpretation is the one thing, and the other thing is the plain technical side, without which any interpretation tends to turn to some kind of "fantasy blabla" that we read so often in our "poetry albums" of our adolescense.
What is hi thinking abut when he is looking to the abstract world from the outside the window. Looks like that he is surprised of this many on mining lass. He is ground old but he still can’t see a certain image of the around and his life train is still moving on.
This is exactly what I was wondering about, Dave. Bored, or in thoughts, or in thoughts out of boredom.. who knows. It is always very interesting to see people being so different, yet also pretty much the same everywhere. Just put somebody else on that seat on the way to work or back home, and I guess the image wouldn't change that much. A hopeful thing to know that we all have so much in common even if it gets quite unnoticed at times. I guess it is the more silent, the small things of life that are common to us all, and so they are at the same time also big things in their own way.
