You mean that an image of some sculpture is not exactly the own work, Gustavo?
I have the impression, that of we enhance the work of somebody else, if we really make it look the way it was conceived and executed, then we have both. The own contribution and the respect for the work of somebody else. But the hard thing is to let the work of somebody else speak for itself on an image. And you did that quite well on the original of this image. I think that the sculptor would be glad for that.

Me alegra que te guste!, Pero te cuento, se discute mucho sobre la autoría cuando se fotografía una obra artística ajena como un grafiti, una pintura, una escultura, obras de arquitectura u otras expresiones artísticas, no se consideran fotos artísticas y alguno extremistas incluso no las consideran ni válidas en el arte fotográfico. Yo siempre trato de hacerles un aporte muy personal a este tipo de fotos, sumar mi propio trabajo artístico al arte de los demás, aunque reconozco que aquí el encuadre y la iluminación ya eran un aporte en si mismo...
Pero bueno, contame que opinás al respecto

He leído con sorpresa el penoso suceso al que te has visto expuesta, mi ingles no es muy bueno y se me escapan los detalles, pero lo entiendo en términos generales. Qué puedo decirte?, no le prestes más atención, tu trabajo es muy bueno y creativo y muchos te valoramos...
Ciertamente con frecuencia se confunde cortesía con complacencia, y la complacencia no ayuda a mejorar, pero la crítica debe ser siempre honesta y sobre todo constructiva, en lo posible siempre en base a las buenas prácticas de la fotografía y no en base a gustos personales totalmente opinables, y jamás, jamás, debería ser maliciosa.
Lamentablemente todos estamos expuestos a la crítica maliciosa, pero como dice nuestra querida Anne Knes: "mejor no gastar pólvora en chimangos"...:-)

PD, tal vez podrías borrar la foto y subirla nuevamente.

It is a very good design and the image of the statue must have been also a very very good image, Gustavo! Quite a good exposure with strong contours and living plasticity on her face. And the tones supply the necessary "historical" look and feel. Do you perhaps still have the original too?
