About Taken once again over the Easter period I spent in Shoal Bay, New South Wales, Australia. This very old man walked into my frame as I was set up for a slow shutter shot. He swam there every morning.

Adjusting quickly, I chose 5.6 at 1/15th to expose at ISO 100. This is uncropped and re-sized to 800px. I adjusted the curves and burned the sky only a little.

Mervo. Me impresiona el cielo tragico de estafoto. El paisaje es fantastico. Felicitaciones

Mervo, I would have thought it to be a good seascape, but the figure walking into the shot gives it such great interest! BTW, the light on the figure is superb!

Hi Mervo,
I like the lighter band in the sky above the man in the image. It adds a lot of drama to the shot. The slight motion blur in the surf works well in this one too.

This is a very good image that has obviously had a lot of thought put into it. I find it frustrating sometimes when I see good images like this one without a lot of comments. Sometimes I think we are losing too many photographers at this site.

This one reminds me of an image that I saw a long time ago. The difference being that the man was closer and turned around. He was big and rotund like this guy and he had on a rubber bathing cap and goggles. The image was also B&W. Very dark, taken in the 50's or 60's.

Excellent capture, Mervo! Is a talking picture like a life story!

Great shot. I like the grain (film like) look of the image and threatening sky. Well Done. (might have liked the swimmer to not be right in the center- you know that old "rule of 3rd's" thing)
