Beautiful capture of the birds, Eb! The one we had visiting(the kids named it Herman, ha ha) has apparently left. I'm not very sneaky, and the 18-200 wasn't enough lens to get a decent shot.

Pat, thanks! A 600mm f/4 could happen with the wife willing (she is a softie after she recovers from her initial fright!) However, it is doubtful that I will go down that road or have enough use for it to justify the expense. That would be another style of photography altogether. I'd have to be in better shape to lug that one around! Eb

Eb - Beautiful setting and composition. You are correct...TC-17E is great and does not seem to degrade image visibly. Maybe your wife will let you break over and buy a 600mm f4?
