Hi Omid, This was one of the earliest passenger carrying planes. It was built in 1929 and 18 of them are still flyable. BILL

Hi Nicole, Yes, it is great fun to ride in a plane which is one in which aviation history was made. Actually 20 minutes is sufficient to show you how it was in the old days. I have been up in it 3 times now. BILL

Bill The guy on the left side closes to the camera looks like someone I know, why it is me. Good interior shot. Cheers Alvin

Yes, Michele, I think weight was the reason for the wicker. The ride is only about 20 minutes for $40.00 but it is well worth it to ride in a piece of History. They travel all over the country all Summer and if they come near your area I think you would enjoy it. BILL

Interesting information Bill - I am wondering why the seats were made of wicker - (?) Lite wieght maybe as the plane appears VERY heavy ?
I love to fly - I'll bet it's a great ride huh?

Hi Michele, Thanks for commenting. I have been up in this plane 3 times now. It belongs to the EAA ( EXPERIMNTAL AIRCRFT ASOCIATION), at Oshkosh, WI. These Ford Tri-motors were one of the original transposrt planes in both North and South America. There are still about 12 still flying. They carry 10 passengers and the original seats were wicker. Great shot of the interior too Bill - I bet this was a fun ride !! Ok dare I ask another maybe obvious question - how many people can ride at once- I'm guessing 8-10 people ?
Michele~
