it took me 2 years to even look at these pictures again
i really am happy to share them. i loved her and still do. I want to show what a fighter she was.

This is a powerful image depicting the fragility of life. I sometimes work with elderly dementia patients and have often thought there's a good photo essay to be had. It's interesting to see the nail polish still being applied, giving the message that she hasn't given up on life. Might I suggest a tighter crop to concentrate on her (and the hands) more and a liitle increase in contrast. I find the left side of the image especially a bit distracting. Hope you don't mind.

Excellent work. Avedon did a series of pictures when his dad was dying - I always thought it was so brave of both of them.
