Fantásticos tus últimos trabajos amigo, de verdad. Como siempre la originalidad e imaginación que no son cosas que se puedan aprender...después el trabajo con las imágenes cuya progresión es obvia. Sinceras felicitaciones. Personalmente me gusta más la versión en color. Ese color orín del óxido es para mí altamente atractivo.

It is not this kind of uniting bio and mechanics what makes Giger's work so great, Gustavo! It is something else, something really twisted. Your work stays always in the generally accepted realms of classiccaln aesthetics, and thus, even if it is indeed very nice, it is not that kind if insanity of Giger and the new surrealists. You try to get surrealistic but there is always even more classicism in your work. This one for example could be a part of a sculpture of Aphrodite if the ancient sculptor was living in our times.
In this sense I also must think about... what would that look like if Gustavo would re-design the Acropolis today? That could turn very interesting. I think this is rather your domain but not really surrealism. Rather neo-classical symbolist, that is.

No dije que fuera una imitación del estilo de Giger, pero sí que reconozco a Giger como mi fuente de inspiración para este trabajo.
La fusión de la carne con el metal en duros contrastes de B&W es, en mi opinión, el sello distintivo de este genial artista plástico y por eso lo menciono como referencia.

Creo que estas dos imágenes son muy difíciles de comparar, o mejor decidirse por cuál, para mí acá el B&N tiene lo suyo y la versión color , lo suyo, en particular esos óxidos que son preciosos!
O sea, creo que ameritan subirse por separado!

The metal part is good (as always ;-)) but I think this time it would suffuce to have only that on the umage, Gustavo! It is really well exposed, the details make the textures of the surface look very strong and heavy, even the reflections are quite perfect.
On the other hand, as it is now it doesn't have to do absolutely anything with Giger. Giger does not simply make a human behind some armour. The biomechanoid is something completely different. It's symbiosis of C with steel, it's living metal, not metal upon muscles, but itself in vivo as living tissue, extremely strong yet flexible, hard but also quick. That's one of the reasons for the twisted beauty of those creatures. The other is... intelligently playing with some fears. ;-)
