I reckon not, Gustavo! The end result is what counts, not what the subject has been. The texture on the red surface clearly shows that it was a canvas. But to capture that and then splash some leaves on it is too naive and too cheap for me. I would find it much better if you would paint such a canvas yourself in a more photographical and less mimicing way. Otherwise we all start splashing colors and digital leaves on some image, and soon we get our "artist diploma".

Te cuento algo Nick. Este trabajo tiene mucho de fotografía: todo el fondo es una fotografía de un fragmento muy pequeño de una pintura en acrílico, en definitiva muy similar a fotografiar la textura de una madera o la corteza de un árbol o la superficie de una piedra. Y podría haberme quedado ahí, es la foto de una textura. Le apliqué solo pocos ajustes de saturación de colores, brillo y contrastes, y enfoque.
A esa foto, sí, le adicioné las plantas con sus hojas que son el elemento pictórico y que tienen por finalidad darle un sentido mas trascendente que una simple textura... me entendes?...:-)

Good contrast of the many pairs of complementary colors, Gustavo, and the overall impression is rather rich and strong coloring. In some sense perhaps much like some plants growing in front of the rocks of some mountains.
But photography? It is rather hard for me to take this seriously as a photographic atempt.
I can't say anything else about that.

:-), tengo un amigo, médico también (en verdad "mi" médico) y fotógrafo de naturaleza, que se divierte preguntándome qué clase de hongos alucinógenos como cuando me siento a hacer imágenes! ja...ja..., pero te juro que yo más de una cerveza no suelo tomar...:-), bueno, por ahí mi paso por el diván del psicoanalista me llevaría directo a manicomio, pero hasta ahora he logrado pasar por muy cuerdo...ja...ja...:-)

Gustavo, you have the most impressive photo-art I've ever seen and how you manage to keep coming up with them is amazing! What a beautiful and creative person you are. We are all so lucky to be able to enjoy your creativity here. The colors and textures here are amazing! The deep red color seems to envoke feelings of passion yet the blueish leaves seem to also add a sense of calm, almost like air bubbles coming up in an aquarium... but the leaves give a sense of life and living.
