Also, since we are talking abt fabulous wildlife photographers (there are many) but I suggest you also see Nick Brandt's works (in case you already ahven't seen).. he did some kind of 'environmental portraits' of animals in very very slow b/w film (ISO 50).. all his shots are in b/w and are breathtaking !!

Sorry, DJ, I misunderstood you now I know you mend well :) Also for me Sebastiago is a fabulous smart talent he’s eye knows exactly what is unfolding ...nerveless matter of opinion his works are not light years away from pro shooters
...I guess you talking from UF standards which most 80% are Level 1

jejej, no,no I love Sebastiao and went to Africa many times, I've encouraged Avi to go there, he knows; the question is that the book is so fascinating that puts everyone in his/her right position, talking about photography, i mean years light away from pro shooters like Sebastiao; sometimes I get depressive when see the masters :(
hope you understand my bad english
take care....txules

I'm truly happy for you:):).wishing you all my best, safety first I'm confident you will catch wonderful realities...remember free style shooting is the best way than waiting for the moment (of a posing Lion) for me is one of the bored type of photo shots I guess for $ 10, 00 local Zoo has plenty opportunities for it:) Please take a look @ Sebastião Salgado, Africa” trust me you will love its truly a fantastic photographer, highly recommended:):):

Yes my friend.. what you say is very true. I also feel that sometimes I am just plain too hard at myself.. need to relax... guess I will do a LOT of that in Africa :):):):)

My dear friend, Avi, get out no mind set and shoot as long you like ,do it many times as you wand, give your self the opportunity to size the moment. Expectations are poisoning. I wish was in N.Y would take both in the city doing, people portraits, architecture, abstracts, what ever we taste for….sometimes all we need is simply there. Try not to stress also lower your expectations might help you expand your creativity. Always remember…release:):):)

for me the best of the series Avi; one nit (to teh whole series) not sure about white balance, look at, for example, her eye, looks bluish in my monitor, in yours?
anyway, composistion is excellent and you have a fantastic model for ages
take care....txules
