Hey Jim, nice to meet you and thanks so much for the review of my work. never know if anyone "gets" my vision sometimes. I just shoot what I like and have had a nice 30 year career doing it! Now semi retired and doing something I equally enjoy working with animals. Yes...it's a cowboy thing with me and most women who are forced to be "citi-fied". We DO love our tight jeaned country boys!!! At 53, I still love attending rodeos to get my wild oats stirred up a bit. Wish I could have been born a simple country girl myself. Hope you've had a nice holiday. will check out your links and photos as well. Take Care and thanks again. Laurie

I have been looking through your work. Don’t get mad…. I am not one for post-production and photo shop and such. So I was looking… and found this one. More to my liking. I am just a bit of farmboy. Central Illinois (No “s” please) Read your bio. I am 52 this year… Ha! As for the cowboy in jeans thingy. I said to my wife (The Lovely Mary Margaret)a few years back, “What is it with you and cowboys? I can wear the hat.” And she said right back, “Yeah… but you couldn’t fill the boots.” My, my, my… she is a mean woman. Oh! The Kinks “We Are The Village Green Preservation Society” just came on me headphones. Gotta go and look at more of your work. Again, this is what I am comfortable with… a bit of life, a moment caught… a memory never forgotten. Good stuff. I have attached a link. The one on the right is my daughter. Nowt much to say about her. The one on the left is MM (who made the mean crack to me about boots and such) I was just sitting here at midnight and passing through. Nice shot of the boy and his dog.

Thank you all for the nice comments. I shot around 8 images of this little boy sitting (or should I say squirming) around with his pup. Managed this (my favorite of all image) in a brief moment when he and the puppy sat still for a second....and then he and his family got up and were gone. Wished I had asked if they had an email address so I could have sent them copies (which I almost ALWAYS do) when I know I've got some great shots of kids. Best to you all!

Aaah, this is so striking, Laurie! I would definitely prefer a shot from the back, i.e. unposed! Really awesome! Regards :)

I love the warm feeling I get from this shot. Fantastic presentation and composition, shame about the white painted strip, but unavoidable I know.
